Quantum disorder, frustrated magnetism, and emergent excitations

I am a experimental condensed matter physicist/materials scientist working on correlated electron systems, frustrated magnetism, and their excitations.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (since December 2022), where I employ a variety of neutron and x-ray scattering techniques, Mossbauer Spectroscopy to study magnetic structures & dynamics in systems that exhibit hybrid excitations, such as spin-lattice coupling, aiming to establish design principles for functional materials.

I received my Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Missouri–Columbia in December 2022, where I explored quantum magnetism in artificial honeycomb lattices. This work led to the discovery of a quantum disordered state in artificial honeycomb lattices and the elucidation of its elusive magnetic diode behaviors.
